đ˝ 50 Climate Trailblazers in New York
Why New York is becoming an epicenter for Climate Deep Tech according to 12 local Founders and Investors
All good things must come to a close, yes even Climate Week NYC. Whether you were frantically filling your days (and nights) with events in the city or felt the FOMO from home, the momentum was palpable.
And as the dust settles, the work to turn those financial commitments into tangible solutions, action the ambitious regulatory calls and catalyze cross-industry collaborations must continue.
Collaboration was one of the overriding takeaways from last week, as we, in the words of Planeteer Capitalâs Sophie Purdom, are all more powerful combined.
And as Yair Reem of Extantia neatly sums up for us:
âStartups, VCs, corporates, growth and infrastructure investors, lenders, governments, insurers, EPCsâwe all need to collaborate if we truly want to succeed. We donât have the time to follow the traditional scaling process. We must âhack the growthâ and scale fast. The only way to achieve this is through collaboration.â
Talking of âhacking the growthâ, cue the HackSummit. The event to Hack the growth for Climate Deep Tech Founders. Also taking place in New York, this time in December.
Whether youâre looking for your next investor, industry partner, portfolio company or hire, thereâs a whole host of opportunities and talents waiting to meet you at the HackSummit as we bring together the Climate Deep Tech community at Newlab.
Before then, we caught up with 12 locals to hear what itâs like to build a ClimateTech in NYC and put together a list of 50 NY-based Climate Startups to Watch.
Many of whom will be joining us in their hometown for the HackSummit this December, 12-13th. If youâre ready to join them, use code HOMETOWN20 for 20% off.
