🌍 Introducing the FoodTech World Cup Finalists

Get to know the Finalist Startups and their Founders, before meeting them at the Grand Final

Over 100 startups from 20 countries applied to take part in the 2025 FoodTech World Cup — and now, the final 10 remain.

With the support of Givaudan and Nestlé Research and Development Lausanne, the competition spotlights the next wave of startups tackling one of the industry’s biggest challenges: Food for Health.

Now it’s time to meet the ten finalists heading to the Grand Final. And hear why they were selected by our top-tier jury of VCs and Corporates.

Next up: They’ll be heading to Lausanne Switzerland for the FoodTech World Cup Final, at a HackSummit Side Event where a winner will be crowned.

🇺🇸 Antithesis Foods

CEO: Jason Goodman
Focus: Weight Management
What: Antithesis makes healthy snacks based on patent-pending food science funded by the National Science Foundation for the private label industry. They’re in 5,000 doors with CVS, sell the healthiest protein crackers with a D2C brand, and will launch seven products with a national grocer in September. 

Why they were chosen: “Antithesis was selected because they are on a mission to bring back protein and fibre in categories where key nutrients have been stripped off overtime: cookies and snacks. Their strategy of targeting private labels is a great way to make good nutrition accessible to all.”

🇸🇬 Coa&Co

CEO: Eduardo Burg Mlynarz
Focus: Longevity
What: The key to a longer & healthier life? Better daily pleasures. Coa reimagines chocolate's healthful origins, with the world’s first chocolate fortified through fermentation and the first high-protein chocolate brand from Asia.

Why they were chosen: Eduardo is a very strong Founder and while the startup is still early stage, Coa taps into Asia’s booming wellness market with a unique edge: fermented, high-protein chocolate. It blends indulgence with functional health, meeting rising demand for better-for-you daily treats.

🇮🇱 EXOSOMM

CEO: Netta Granot
Focus: Gut Health
What: EXOSOMM develops a bioactive and patented nutritional supplement using science-based technology that harnesses the power of milk-derived exosomes with natural miRNAs to reduce and prevent inflammation. 

Why they were chosen: EXOSOMM has a strong founding team and showcased their scaled-up process. With GRAS certified products and ongoing clinical trials underway, they’re well-positioned to unlock a new frontier in food-as-medicine for inflammation.

🇸🇬 Fattastic Technologies

CEO: Satnam Singh
Focus: Personalised Nutrition
What: Fattastic Fat is transforming the fat industry with their innovative technology, offering a healthier, tastier, and more sustainable alternative to conventional fats like palm oil and coconut oil.

Why they were chosen: Their encapsulation technology makes designer fats that mimic the texture, mouthfeel and flavour of animal fat thereby offering a healthier and sustainable alternative.

🇦🇷 Future Biome

CEO: Martin larre
Focus: Gut Health
What: Future Biome focuses on optimising the microbiome function with the best nutrition: Precision prebiotics.

Why they were chosen: “Today, inulin is one of a few prebiotics ingredients offering consumers gut health benefits, powering growing categories like snack bars and better-for-you beverages. However, it is expensive, and it has side effects. Future Biome has the opportunity to disrupt the prebiotic market by offering greater efficacy with lower dosage, side effects, and price through the power of fungi. Future Biome are building the opportunity to disrupt the prebiotic market by developing science based solutions that can help the industry make efficient and new solutions available at scale.”

🇸🇪 Ironic Biotech

CEO: Nélida Leiva Eriksson
Focus: Energy Levels
What: Ironic Biotech is dedicated to combating iron deficiency, which is the most common nutritional deficiency globally, by developing a unique and non-toxic iron ingredient. 

Why they were chosen: Ironic Biotech has a high-value product with capex-light production alongside a clear FDA roadmap to be in the market in 2027. The founding team have a strong background to help solve iron deficiency are building a next-gen ingredient with global health and commercial potential.

🇮🇱 Kokomodo

CEO: Tal Govrin
Focus: Personalised Nutrition
What: Kokomodo crafts real, climate-resilient cacao using cellular agriculture technology, delivering consistent, high-quality cocoa with enhanced functional benefits— tailored for personalised nutrition.

Why they were chosen: Kokomodo has made significant progress developing multiple stable and scalable cacao cell lines, offering a sustainable, cell-cultivated solution for the functional ingredient and nutraceutical industries. Their go-to-market strategy targets functional ingredient suppliers, supplement brands, and wellness companies.

🇩🇪 Koralo

CEO: Sina Albanese
Focus: Gut Health
What: Koralo creates functional food and feed enriching health and beauty. With patented co-fermentation of microalgae and mushroom roots, Koralo is setting a new standard in delicious taste, functional nutrition, and affordable scalability.

Why they were chosen: Koralo has received multi million dollar commercial off-take agreements across seafood and ingredient applications with ongoing discussions with leading feed manufacturers and has a roadmap to launch in US/EU in 2025 & 2026, as well as a strong Founding team to accelerate their growth.

🇺🇸 Olfactive Biosolutions

CEO: Nils Lommerin
Focus: Weight Management
What: Olfactive Biosolutions uses proprietary formulations of food molecules to activate ectopic receptors in the body, to replace pharmaceuticals and treat myriad chronic diseases. 

Why they were chosen: “Olfactive Biosolution has leveraged a proprietary platform of taste receptors to identify common food components that interact with these receptors, in the gut. The results are formulations of inexpensive natural food molecules that can induce the GLP-1 pathway when consumed as supplements or in finished foods and beverages. Olfactive Biosolutions is thus opening the possibility to bring weight management and wellness to the masses, without the need for expensive drugs.”

🇧🇷 Sante Science

CEO: Marcela Camargo
Focus: Immunity
What: Sante Science has developed an innovative biotechnology through upcycling to produce natural ingredients that enhance treatment and reduce the symptoms of oncological chemotherapy in pets and humans, increasing quality of life, longevity, gastrointestinal and immunological health.

Why they were chosen: â€śSante Science’s food technology has significant potential to address a massive pet problem—canine cancer. From cancer prevention to chemotherapy relief, their food supplement can be a game changer with significant potential across markets and channels.”
