Methane and CO2

How it works: Several industrial processes release biogenic CO₂ naturally as side-stream from their production, especially alcoholic fermentation and anaerobic digestion (biogas upgrading). While this by-product is usually lost, Circea offers quality systems and pathways to valorise it.

They offer PFAS‑free MEA options, supporting environmentally responsible and regulation‑ready electrochemical technologies without compromising performance.
What: Sixteen44 destroys methane at hotspots, such as dairy farms, landfills, and coal mines, where emissions are highest.
Methane is an invisible, yet potent greenhouse gas that traps 80x more heat in the atmosphere than CO2. Removing it is the fastest way to cool our planet and widely acknowledged by scientists as our emergency break on climate change.
How it works: Their technology works at the non-flammable, non-capturable methane concentrations which make up two thirds of all methane emissions worldwide.
Their process replicates methane oxidation found in nature, only much faster. The team aims to remove 1 million tonnes of methane by 2035, more than double the equivalent of Switzerland’s CO2 footprint.
